13.1 Cloud Hosting

A web site hosted on a cloud hosting operates on clustered servers where online operations are not limited to a single server. By handling security, load balance and hardware resources virtually; the web site has access to the processing power of a number of servers that are distributed in real time.

13.2 Content Delivery Network (CDN)

Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) provide services that improve network performance by maximizing bandwidth, improving accessibility and maintaining correctness through content replication. They offer fast and reliable applications and services by distributing content to cache or edge servers located close to users.

A CDN has some combination of content-delivery, request- routing, distribution and accounting infrastructure.

The content-delivery infrastructure consists of a set of edge servers (also called surrogates) that deliver copies of content to end-users.
The request-routing infrastructure is responsible to directing client request to appropriate edge servers. It also interacts with the distribution infrastructure to keep an up-to-date view of the content stored in the CDN caches.
The distribution infrastructure moves content from the origin server to the CDN edge servers and ensures consistency of content in the caches.
The accounting infrastructure maintains logs of client accesses and records the usage of the CDN servers. This information is used for traffic reporting and usage-based billing.

13.3 Storage Space

ePortal provides a default 5GB of storage for images and A/V files. Flexibility is built in and you can adjust the amount of storage space based on your requirements. Increasing storage space can be done on the fly and are taken care through an additional monthly cost based on the amount of GB needed.

13.4 Bandwidth Usage

Your news portal comes with a default 10GB of bandwidth per month. This, too, can be adjusted based on your needs, with more extensive bandwidth available for a nominal fee, which will be charged monthly based on the amount of GB needed.

13.5 Custom Domain Mapping

Custom Domain Mapping Upgrade allows you to use a custom domain name such as example.com instead of the standard domain name abc.example.com for your site.
