Woolmer in mind, Younis is eyeing glory again

SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend
After dedicating the World T20 win to Bob Woolmer, Pakistan's coach who died during the 2007 World Cup, Younis Khan now wishes to go one further: Win the Champions Trophy in the country Woolmer chose to make his home.

Born in Kanpur, Woolmer played for England, but had settled in South Africa.

"It would be great if we could win in the land where Bob lies buried... It would be wonderful if I could either take the Trophy to Cape Town and place it before Mrs Woolmer or invite her here, if we do win... Woh ek bahut bada kaam ho jaye ga," the Pakistan captain told The Telegraph rather emotionally .

Assured of a semi-final berth, step No.1 has been reached.

Suniel Shetty costumes stolen in South Africa

SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend
Suniel Shetty has claimed that costumes for a film he is currently shooting in Durban were stolen and hinted that it could be an organised crime in connivance with airport luggage handlers - an allegation that has perturbed the Airports Company of South Africa (ACSA). Shetty told the Sunday Times Extra that although it was the second time he had been robbed in South Africa, he remained unruffled and would return because he loved the country so much.

But he also told the weekly: "I think this happens because (airport luggage handlers) can see what's in the luggage. The locks, I believe were clipped open within 10 minutes, which means it is organised."

Shetty also claimed that he had been robbed of $ 60,000 during a visit to Durban about 12 years ago, but did not give more details.

India through to the semis

SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend
Team Young India has a point to prove and they are well on their way to proving it in the best possible manner. India's victory over hosts South Africa and subsequent entry into the semi-finals is a boost for new captain Dhoni and a shot in the arm for the youngsters who have demonstrated tremendous courage and determination. They are now in a position of strength against an Australian that has seemed vulnerable in this tournament with its two losses. If Young India can defeat them, it will set the stage for a tour that is going to be extremely hard fought because the Australians are known to pick themselves up from their defeats and come back on top.

But, what happens if they lose? There aren't too many people expecting them to win against Australia and a loss will not be very hard to digest. However, what they must be congratulated for is the fact that they have reached the semi-finals after bowing out from the World Cup not so long ago. The old guard is going to put down their bats soon and competition is fierce for the lucre that has come to be associated with the sport.

But, all that remains to be said at the end is, "We did it!!!"
