Kite festival at Jammu on August 13, 14
n an attempt to revive the dying culture and tradition of kite flying in Jammu, the Tourism Department in collaboration with the related Trade Unions and Associations, is organizing a 2-day "Kite Festival" in Jammu on August 13 and 14...
This was informed by Director Tourism, S. M. Sahni at a meeting held at Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) here today.
It was intimated that the venue of the festival will be TRC Jammu and shall be inaugurated at 9 a.m. A team of kite-fliers from Ahmedabad is also visiting Jammu on August 13 and 14 to display their art in kite flying, once considered as the hobby of royalty in India.
