Golf Course Mars Naya Qila

The Golconda Naya Qila area is going to become a golf course for the elite because of the indifference of authorities.

This important heritage monument has two old mosques, Masjid e Mila Khayali and Masjid Mustafa Khan, along with graveyards. Hathiyan Ka Jhad, an ancient and massive banyan tree, is also in the premises.

Hundreds of people from the city as well as tourists used to visit this area to admire the tree as well as the monuments.

However, they have become inaccessible to visitors now as the area has been occupied by the Hyderabad Golf Association for building a golf course.

“They have fixed a gate and have appointed a private guard,” said Mr Veda Kumar, president of the Forum for Better Hyderabad. “They open the gate only during fixed hours. This has prevented access to visitors.”
