J.K. Rowling's Confession: Dumbledore Is Gay!!
It was a little late for National Coming Out Day, but a huge revelation nonetheless: Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling revealed Friday night that one of her main characters, Hogwarts Headmaster Albus Dumbledore, is gay.The Associated Press reports that during a Q&A session with audience members, a young fan asked if Dumbledore finds true love."Dumbledore is gay," the author, 42, responded, prompting gasps and applause.
Rowling said Dumbledore was infatuated with rival Gellert Grindelwald, who was later offed in a battle between the good and bad wizards.
"Falling in love can blind us to an extent," Rowling said of Dumbledore's feelings, adding that Dumbledore was "horribly, terribly let down" and that his love was a "great tragedy."
This news really rocked the fans of Harry Potter. But this story is associated more closely with the young generation how will it influence them??? bad idea Ms Rowling.

I think you are way off base by saying that outing is a bad idea because of how it will influence the younger generation. I definately don't agree with your homophobic statements, but I do agree that outing Dumbledore after the books are written is a bad idea. If she really wanted to make Dumbledore gay she would have written it into the story but she didn't. Taking a true stand on an issue is tough and I understand that making Dumbledore gay in the Potter series may have effected book sales, but if she's going to take a stand then take a stand. Making the statement that Dumbledore is gay without even writing the smallest hint doesn't cut it. All she's doing by making the statement now is lowering her credibility as a writer and insulting the gay community.
