Flood Nagaon Town as E&D department still busy in making money

For last several years the people of Nagaon are facing lots of trouble in the time of flood.It is a most interesting fact to be stated here that river banks in different areas of Nagaon town have been washed away at the time of flood. In every flood its wasting a huge amount of land. The local people of those areas urged the office of E&D for some solutions. The concerned officer gave false assurance to the public of giving suitable and permanent solution of the problem.They even told the public that their department has made estimates of boulder pitching on the eroded banks.But this never happened to be true.

At the time of flood,they used to check erosion by placing sand bags.Its a profitable business for the corrupted officers and employees of the department.Because if they filled the areas with 50 bags,they made bills of 1000 bags and the rest amount goes in the pockets of the corrupted employees. On 12th September ,a heavy rain again affected a huge area as the river water flew out towards the residential areas and roads.S.D.O of E&D visited the area with few employees.The local people of Ratnapur and Siba Nagar area of Nagaon are facing a lot of problem and the erosion has caused a great fear among them.When the department had made estimates of construction,then why the construction work does not start? What happen to the funds? Is the Department enjoying Public funds ???
