Indian Cricket League ropes in the stars

SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

The Indian Cricket League has finally unveiled its lineup of contracted players. The names were announced by the League's Executive Board Chairman, Kapil Dev in Mumbai. There are 41 players from India including five former cricketers. Most notable among these, is of course, Dinesh Mongia, a player who many believe has long been sidelined by the Indian Cricket Board.

From Pakistan, the names include heavy weights like Inzamam, Imran Farhat, Razzaq and Mohammed Yousuf. Brian Lara had already confirmed his participation last month itself.

The two South African players are Lance Klusener, who is definitely past his prime and Nicky Boje, who is more famous for his controversial link in the match fixing scandals.

Although, the League has managed to get a sizable number of players on board, how effective it will be remains to be seen.

This will be interesting to see if it works out, especially as there is reportedly anamosity between some of the players...

But then again, I suppose most people would bury the hatchet when money is involved.
