Its not an extract from a science fiction novel. Kim Jong-Hwan is busy creating a robot with human emotions. Though the technology for artificial intelligence to have emotions already exists, Kim is claiming a breakthrough in this technology. He is designing a truly intelligent robot - one that can think and feel on its own. Motivated by the Darwin's theory of evolution, he had thought of artificial genomes for robots. Kim calls it a 'sobot' or 'software robot. Rity is programmed with artificial chromosomes to create human personality traits and like a genie in a lamp; he springs to life when stimulated.
