According to the Forbes magazine, Kurt Cobain, the leader of the grunge band Nirvana, is the highest earning dead celebrity. According to their sixth such list, the top 13 such dead celebrities have amassed $247 million! Their estates continue to make money by inking deals involving both their work and the rights to use their name and likenesses on merchandise and marketing campaigns. To land on this year’s list, a star needed to make at least $7 million between October 2005 and October 2006.Rock N Roll legend Elvis Presley comes second in the list. Charles Schultz, former Beetle John Lennon and probably the greatest scientist Albert Einstein come 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th respectively.
