iPhone from Apple
Apple Computer Inc. CEO Steve Jobs announced today it plans to launch a cellphone, dubbed as iPhone at the Macworld conference in It will also be able to synch up with Apple’s iTunes media software that would allow users to transfer music and other information into the new phones. As expected this, instead of a specialized mobile operating system, it will run on Apple’s OS X.
iPhone will be available in the US beginning in June 2007 in a 4GB model for USD 500 and an 8GB model for USD 600, and will work in combination with Apple’s iTunes running on either a PC or Mac. It will not be until next year when India can have its hands on the iPhone.
Apple now has very well entered into the larger and more competitive wireless arena. However its success ultimately depends on their users, that include you and me.
