Justin Gatlin's step backwards

Reigning champion and joint World Record holder for 100m has just recieved a jolt. It's been a long joyride for World's top sprinter Justin Gatlin. From Athens 2004 the sprinter literally hasn't put a step wrong.

Now after failing a dope test and denials he taking a couple of steps backwards. Gatlin who till moments ago wat at the pinnacles of glory has just seen the nadir's of sport.
Why does it happen so often - this kind of incident raises a weird sense of skeptism in everyone. The next time you see a World-record break it wouldn't unusual for to imagine that the person has taken drugs.
If the few blots in sports think that public memory is short, considering the THG scandal had been slowly swept under the carpet, they're wrong. Infact with every new incident the older scams would be publicized with that much more vigor.
Gatlin and his team are seriously outnumbered when they allege a conspiracy. But before calling him a cheat, a arrogant pretender, etc. waiting for the complete facts would be rational.
However with every passing day the shouts for a Life Ban is getting louder.
For now, Gatlin its time for a prayer.
