Aldrin Penned the US's 1969 Lunar Mission
One small step for man, a giant leap for mankind.
- Neil Armstrong
The particular sentence that reminds us of the great advancement of mankind. The successful lunar voyage undertaken by Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Peter Collins epitomizes the amazing achievement of Man in Science. But since the safe landing of Apollo 11, a lot of theories have been running.
Allegations of the grave risk and unpreparedness of NASA and the US government have now been endorsed by Edwin Aldrin too. It seems he along with Armstrong accidently snapped a switch of a circuit breaker which prevented the Lunar Module from leaving the Moon. Aldrin then had to take a ball-point pen to push the circuit-breaker in and this made sure they could return.
The trip to Moon was planned hastily and all this done to go one-up with their Cold War rivals Russia. The level of unpreparedness was such that the then President Nixon even got ready to address the nation the death of the three austronauts.
Adrin further says that links with the Astronauts would have been cut if a disaster was imminent so that World doesn't watch American Astronauts spinning into space.
Aldrin also says the astronauts had seen UFOs which he alleges was covered up by NASA.
Na-sa bad for a theory. Infact stories on man never ever going to space and the whole thing having been stimulated was doing the rounds. However such allegations never seem to have the veracity and approval from the poeple involved. This 'Mightly Pen' incident does come from the astronaut himself.
